Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan held a telephone conversation with the Secretary General of TURKSOY

On January 24, 2024, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Rakhmatulla Nurimbetov held a phone conversation with the Secretary General of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) Sultanbai Raev.

The parties discussed the current status and prospects for developing comprehensive cultural and humanitarian cooperation under the TURKSOY framework.

The sides underscored successful holding of joint international events in 2023 in the field of cultural diplomacy, including celebration of the 30th anniversary of TURKSOY in Tashkent and presentation of the “Pearls of Turkic Literature”, a 100-volume series of books.

The parties expressed their readiness to strengthen interaction in promoting and popularizing the culture of Turkic countries through the implementation of joint events, projects and programs in this area.
