The delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan held a number of bilateral meetings in London
On December 7, in London, Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bobur Usmanov met with the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office of the UK Leo Docherty, the UK Prime Minister’s Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan Andrew McCoubrey, the Chairperson of the British Group Inter-Parliamentary Union (BGIPU), MP from the Conservative Party of the British Parliament Karen Bradley.
During the meetings, the sides discussed the current state and prospects for the development of political, interparliamentary, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties between Uzbekistan and the UK.
The sides noted the positive dynamics observed in Uzbekistan-UK relations in recent years, and expressed mutual interest in raising the bilateral political dialogue to a qualitatively new level.
