Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan met with the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media

On November 17, 2023, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Gayrat Fozilov held a meeting with the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media Teresa Ribeiro.

It was noted that in recent years, Uzbekistan’s cooperation with all OSCE institutions, in particular with the Office of the Representative on Freedom of the Media, has reached a new level. In this context, the parties discussed proposals for further expansion of interaction in areas of mutual interest.

The sides expressed mutual readiness to implement joint projects, including to improve the professional skills of journalists in Uzbekistan.

The parties also exchanged views on improving the activities of the OSCE and its institutions.
