Information of the rules for entering the Republic of Uzbekistan from foreign countries during the coronavirus pandemic

The Uzbekistan Special Republican Commission is monitoring the epidemiological situation in foreign countries, and has categorised them as Red, Yellow and Green. Anyone arriving in Uzbekistan on a direct flight or rail must provide a certificate of coronavirus infection, which must be tested only by the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) method and must have a negative results of test for Coronavirus no more than 72 hours before their arrival into the Country, including passengers who have vaccinated.

Individuals who enter Uzbekistan by vehicle via border checkpoints are allowed to enter the territory of the Republic only by providing a certificate of a negative result for coronavirus infection, which will be obtained at their own expense by an express test in special clinics or laboratories operating at border checkpoints.
Any person showing symptoms including high fever, coughing or respiratory difficulties will be required to undergo a test for COVID-19 and may be isolated at government facility (or approved hotel with medical and security controls in place) at their own cost.
People travelling or arriving from any "Red" or "Yellow" category countries are subject to a mandatory period of 14 days self-isolation in a home quarantine at the place of residence or in a hotel. Whereas eligible visitors arriving in Uzbekistan from a country categorised as Green or who have been in one of these countries 14 days prior to arrival will not be subject to any mandatory quarantine or self-isolation period unless they display symptoms on arrival.
A tour operator who has invited foreign citizens arriving in the Republic of Uzbekistan as tourists and stateless people temporarily residing in the Republic of Uzbekistan, if necessary, is obligated to provide information about individuals providing tourist services to representatives of Border Troops of the State Security Service and the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and contracts of travel services.
All persons departing Uzbekistan by air are required to undergo temperature checks. Anyone showing high temperature and/or other COVID-19 symptoms will be denied boarding. Depending on the destination country of the flight, the authorities of that country may also require other pre-boarding checks in addition to those conducted by the Uzbek authorities.
If signs of coronavirus infection are detected at the time of the tourist's entry into the Republic of Uzbekistan, the matter of returning to his/her country ( if the results of tests submitted by the tourist in connection with the existing symptoms of coronavirus infection will be positive) is carried out in accordance with the order of passenger transportation of a particular airline or other transport companies on that day.
