Meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan
Delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan led by the Minister of Culture Bakhtiyor Sayfullayev, attending the XIV Forum of Creative and Scientific Intelligentsia of the CIS in Ashgabat, met with the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov.
During the negotiations, held in a friendly and good-neighborly atmosphere, it was emphasized that warm and confidential dialogue established between the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov opens up broad opportunities for progressive development and deepening of bilateral cooperation in various fields.
The high dynamics is demonstrated by the interaction of the two countries in the cultural and humanitarian sphere. Uzbek and Turkmen cultural and art workers regularly take part in numerous international cultural forums, festivals and conferences organized in Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
In particular, following the results of the International Bakhshi Art Festival held in Termez in April 2019, the representative of Turkmenistan Kerven Yovbosarov took the first place in uncompromising contest for the title of the best performer among hundreds of artists from more than 70 countries of the world.
At the meeting, the sides exchanged views on current issues of bilateral cooperation in cultural and humanitarian sphere and identified priority areas of cooperation for the future.
