On the telephone conversations of the President of Uzbekistan with the Presidents of Russia, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Turkey

On December 27, 2018, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

The Heads of the states exchanged sincere congratulations on the upcoming New Year, as well as discussed a number of current issues of interaction.

Presidents expressed deep satisfaction with dynamic development and consistent strengthening of Uzbekistan – Russia friendship, strategic partnership and alliance.

It was emphasized that the state visit of the President of the Russian Federation to Uzbekistan in October this year brought bilateral cooperation to a qualitatively new level, filling it with concrete practical content.

Intensive and productive contacts at all levels were noted, the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation is operating effectively.

Dialogue at the level of regions and business has been intensified, cultural-humanitarian exchanges expanded. This fall, the first interregional and educational forums have been successfully held in Tashkent.

The trade turnover is growing, the green corridor is launched in supplying agricultural products.

Large investment projects are being implemented in Uzbekistan with participation of leading Russian companies and banks, including in the energy, oil and gas, chemical, mechanical engineering, electrical, textile, food and many other industries.

In April, Kandym Gas Processing Complex was commissioned. In October, construction of the first Nuclear Power Plant in Uzbekistan was launched.

Joint programs are being implemented in science, education and health, including the opening of branches of leading Russian universities in Uzbekistan.

In conclusion, the Presidents emphasized their commitment to further development and strengthening of strategic partnership and alliance, as well as exchanged wishes for peace, wellbeing and prosperity for people of Uzbekistan and Russia in the New Year.

On December 27, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The Heads of states exchanged warm congratulations on the upcoming New Year, as well as summed up the implementation of agreements at the highest level and development of practical cooperation.

Presidents noted that 2018 became a year of strengthening friendship and trust, good-neighborliness and partnership between fraternal countries and people.

The fruitful state visit of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Uzbekistan in April and practical results of meetings within the framework of the summit of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea in Avaza in August gave a new dynamic to development of bilateral cooperation and regional interaction.

National exhibitions and business events that were successfully held in Tashkent and Ashgabat, establishment of the Business Council contributed to increasing the trade turnover and strengthening cooperation in various sectors of the economy.

The Heads of states noted the importance of promoting projects aimed at disclosing the transit potential of the region, as well as spoke in favor of continuing active interregional, cultural-humanitarian contacts.

The mutual desire for further expansion and deepening friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership was confirmed.

In conclusion, the Presidents exchanged wishes for peace, wellbeing and prosperity for the two fraternal people in 2019.

On December 27, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.

Leaders of the two states exchanged sincere congratulations on the upcoming New Year, as well as considered promising areas and specific projects of deepening multifaceted partnership.

It was noted with deep satisfaction that in 2018, declared in Kazakhstan as the Year of Uzbekistan, bilateral relations acquired a new dynamic, quality and content.

Meetings are held regularly within the framework of the joint Intergovernmental Commission, which has become an effective mechanism for promoting Uzbekistan – Kazakhstan multifaceted interaction. In November, the first Interregional Cooperation Forum was successfully held.

The trade turnover is growing at a high rate, programs and cooperation projects are being implemented in mechanical engineering, electrical industry, food industry, tourism, transport and logistics. A rich schedule of cultural-humanitarian exchanges was noted.

Currently, preparations are underway for holding a number of major events of the Year of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan in 2019.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Nursultan Nazarbayev confirmed firm determination to further develop and deepen the centuries-old friendship and good-neighborliness, as well as strategic partnership for the benefit of fraternal people of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

In conclusion, the Presidents exchanged sincere wishes for peace, wellbeing and prosperity for people of the two countries in the New 2019.

The Heads of states exchanged warm congratulations and wishes on the upcoming New Year, as well as considered current issues of interaction and prospects for multifaceted partnership.

It was emphasized that intensive contacts at the highest level, historical visits to Ankara last fall and to Tashkent this spring brought bilateral relations to a qualitatively higher level.

Constructive cooperation in political sphere is developing, inter-parliamentary dialogue has intensified.

Trade-economic, investment and financial-technical cooperation is expanding. Exports and imports are growing at a high rate. Joint projects are being implemented on modernization of urban, transport-logistics and tourism infrastructure, creation of modern industrial enterprises in Uzbekistan with participation of leading Turkey’s companies.

Cooperation in cultural-humanitarian sphere, as well as ongoing projects in the field of education and healthcare were noted with satisfaction.

In conclusion, the Heads of states confirmed commitment to further develop and strengthen friendship and strategic partnership, expand mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.

The Presidents also exchanged sincere wishes for peace, wellbeing and prosperity for fraternal people of Turkey and Uzbekistan in the New Year 2019.
