Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The Republic of Uzbekistan is deeply concerned about drastic aggravation of the situation in the Middle East.

We believe that further escalation can lead to an unprecedented increase in risks and threats to security in a vast region with unpredictable consequences for the entire international community.

We urge the opposing sides to show restraint and refrain from actions that could lead to further escalation of tensions.

The Uzbek side once again reiterates the need to take urgent measures for a peaceful settlement of the conflict in accordance with international norms and resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.
