Uzbekistan and France Foreign Ministries held political consultations
On May 27, 2024, the fifteenth round of political consultations took place between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the French Republic.
The delegations were headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Muzaffar Madrakhimov and Head of the Department for Continental Europe of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic Brice Roquefeuil.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of Uzbekistan-French relations and prospects for their further development.
During the negotiations, significant attention was given to the implementation of the agreements reached during the mutual high-level visits in 2022-2023, as well as to expanding the legal framework for cooperation between the two countries.
The parties discussed the possibilities of deepening inter-parliamentary relations, intensifying trade, economic and investment cooperation, cultural and people-to-people exchanges, and strengthening relations between think tanks.
Mutual interest was expressed in intensifying economic diplomacy, as well as in implementing joint projects in the fields of energy, transport, water supply, tourism, construction and renewable energy sources.
At the meeting, an exchange of views took place on international and regional issues, as well as on the schedule and agenda of upcoming joint events at various levels.
