Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan Ismatulla Irgashev’s meeting with Director for Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia of German Federal Foreign Office Matthias Lüttenberg

Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev met with the Director for Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia of German Federal Foreign Office Matthias Lüttenberg today in Tashkent.

Mr. Matthias Lüttenberg welcomed the efforts of Uzbekistan in establishing long-term peace and stability in Afghanistan, as well as providing humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people.

The representative of the German Federal Foreign Office paid special attention to aspects related to the practical implementation of Uzbekistan's initiative to create an International Negotiating Group under the auspices of the UN.
