The Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan

We have received with a feeling of deep concern the news regarding the introduction of a ban on the study of women and girls in public and private institutions of higher education in Afghanistan.

We hope that this decision shall be reconsidered as a sign of determination to support the aspirations of the Afghan people to build a peaceful and prosperous future.
