The third round of Uzbek-American political consultations was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan on 16 August 2012. The United States was represented by a delegation, led by the US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Robert Blake.

The implementation pace of the agreements, reached during the previous round of consultations, the state and prospects of bilateral relations, significant regional and international issues were discussed.

Meetings of joint subgroups on cooperation in political, trade-economic, investment, humanitarian and security spheres were held within the consultations.

US Ambassador George Krol attended the proceedings.
