On 19 June 2012 the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a meeting with the UK's Special Representative on Afghanistan and Pakistan Mark Sedwill, who arrived in Tashkent for regular bilateral consultations.

The parties exchanged views on the Afghan problem and issues of bilateral relations.

British Ambassador Rupert Joy took part in the meeting.
