43 Annual Meeting of the ADB Board of Governors will take place in Tashkent on May 3-4, 2010

The Decree of the President of Uzbekistan dated July 3, 2009, has approved the membership of Organizing Committee and working groups on implementation of measures on holding of 43 Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of ADB on May 3-4, 2010 in Tashkent.

Organizing committee, headed by the Prime Minister Shavkat Mirziyoev, include vice-premiers, heads of relevant ministries and government agencies, khokim of Tashkent and others. The program of the meeting have been agreed with the Asian Development Bank.

The Organizing committee and working groups will work on providing visas procurement and transport services to the participants of the forum, holding and technical equipment of the plenary and other meetings, country presentations, creation of the exposition of Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan became a member of the ADB in August 1995. Since 1996, the Bank has approved more than 25 loans totaling USD 1 billion for the country.
